The location of this lovely welcoming hotel was fantastic, to Coogee beach. The breakfast was amazing and delicious for what was on offer with tea included and many of the local cafes and Eggs Benedict. The staff members were all really friendly and outstandingly accommodating.

Definately the location, it's right on the beach, beautiful walking paths and close to restaurants, cafe's and Coogee Bay Hotel.I Loved that each room had a balcony with sliding door so I could hear the beach.
There was no day spa, I had to leave the hotel for beauty therapy. Also the receptionist who checked me in wasn't particularly friendly. I had to ask where the lifts were to my room, then had to ring to find out about hotel services, only to be told they were on my tv.

The best part of the stay was the sound of the waves on the beach at night when the balcony door was open. Very romantic and relaxing. The ease with which you can get on a bus to and from the city. The closeness to the airport. The amble choice of restaurants and food in the vicinty of the hotel. The pool was ideal when unable to swim in the sea due to the blustery conditions. There is a good walkway that you can run or walk along and a good rock pool to swim in that is safe for both adults and children.
The bathroom was a little cramped for two people to be in at the same time and you needed to watch your step in the bath when taking a shower. With the balcony door open there can be some noise from rivalers in the park opposite at night. It is a bit ackward passing by function room guests to and from the pool area. The safety of small children unsupervised on the balcony could be an issue. For the cost conscious traveller who wants to save on buying food and prepare their own there was no microwave, plates, bowls, knives, forks and spoons available.

Access to the beach and the hotel swimming pool
We typically use Crowne Plaza and our Priority Privileges card because the in-house restaurant are a convenient and usually pleasant way to feed the family. I was looking forward to that in this trip but it was closed for a private function. My family was therefore forced to search for a suitable place down the street on a night when the weather wasnt pleasant. We found this incredibly inconvenient and devalued the hotel which is marketed as having in house restaurant facilities. I would not have booked had I known in advance the restaurant was closed. I noted a few poor families with young children forced to eat outside the downstairs cocktail bar as well which I am sure they didn't enjoy either.
